TRA Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy with locations in Jersey City, Bayonne, and Bloomfield, New Jersey. The academy serves families, kids, and adults of all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. The instructors teach both gi and no-gi training, with programs designed for children and separate classes for adult students.

The academy emphasizes creating an ego-free, welcoming environment where students feel safe and supported while pursuing their training goals. TRA operates with a structured curriculum that allows students to progress measurably from beginner to advanced levels. The head instructor, Thiago Rela, is a black belt with competition experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and mixed martial arts, bringing professional-level instruction to the academy while maintaining a focus on individual student development and long-term growth.

• Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for ages 4-8 and 8+ with age-appropriate curriculum focused on discipline, confidence, coordination, and focus
• Adult Beginners classes for students with zero to 60 classes of experience using a technique-focused, fundamentals-first approach with no sparring
• Intermediate classes for students with 60+ classes or blue belt rank featuring positional training and situational rounds
• Advanced and No-Gi classes for students seeking deeper technical study and advanced-level sparring
• All Levels Integrated classes for white belts with 2 stripes and above
• Free trial classes available at all locations
• Uniforms provided for first session trial classes
