About
The Office for the Aging Senior Friendship Center, part of Dutchess County government, provides nutritional services and social programs for residents aged 60 and older. The center operates congregate meal sites where older adults can enjoy nutritious meals alongside social activities and fellowship. Additionally, the office offers home-delivered meals for homebound seniors, nutrition education and counseling, summer picnics, and year-round health promotion events.
The office operates on the principle that adequate nutrition is essential for health, quality of life, and vitality among older adults. Services are designed to address both nutritional needs and social well-being. Contributions to programs are voluntary and confidential, and no one is denied services due to inability or unwillingness to contribute. Funding comes from the Administration for Community Living, New York State Office for the Aging, and Dutchess County government.
