Jersey City Medical Center operates a Center for Comprehensive Care that has provided diagnosis and treatment services for HIV and AIDS since 1985. The center began as a formal program in 1987 and serves approximately 1,000 clients annually, including children, adolescents, and adults living with HIV in the Jersey City and Hudson County area, along with their families and significant others. The center also provides treatment for hepatitis C and related conditions.

The Center for Comprehensive Care uses a continuum of care model with a multidisciplinary team approach. The program aims to deliver comprehensive medical services and case management in a cost-effective manner while promoting client health and independence. Services are offered in both English and Spanish, and the team emphasizes treatment adherence, psychological support, and intervention to help clients manage their conditions.
